Hand & Machine Pleated Fabric
The hand-pleated process is backed with 100% polyester fusing as a stable backing; finished lengths vary by design with the average finished work at about 8 yards. Widths also vary by design, but the average finish being 40-42″ utilizing 54″ grounds. The finished pleated product is suitable for vertical installations only i.e. drapery, window panels, upholstery, headboards, pillows, lamp shades, wall decor, hand bags, tops, skirts etc. The finished product targets the high-end residential, hospitality trades, and women’s apparel.
Machine pleating varies by design and only has shrinkage on the length with an average ratio of 3 to 1. Ratio’s can be adjusted to prevent as much fabric loss as possible.
Pleated Garments for the fashion Industry
We pleat a variety of garments for fashionable attire i.e. skirts, dresses, evening wear, school uniforms, pants etc. Any type of pleat including and not limited to Broomstick, Diamond, Mushroom, Basket, Combination, Pineapple, Knife, Accordion, Box, Chevron, Crystal, Hand Crush, Barrel Knife, Marble, Sunburst, Squre, and Crinkle pleat can be applied to garments.
